I have a new mobile phone number. Rather than trying to do a bulk email, I'll just announce the fact here. If you had the old one and/or want the new one, let me know.
I also have a new mobile phone. It's one of those new ones with thecacophonic polyphonic ringtones. To my surprise, I really hate the sounds on it. It doesn't make any noises that I like, especially for text messaging alerts. I want a simple, discreet little beep, not a 10-second symphony. I can get a simple beep for people who aren't in my phone book, but not for people who are. I find that slightly annoying.
It was suggested that I contact the vendor and ask them if there is any way to get to a simple little beep, and I might just do that.
Then again, Matt pointed out that every time I get a new phone, I hate the sounds it makes. And every time I get used to it, to the point that I hate the sounds the next phone makes. I hadn't realized that, but thinking about it, I suppose I can concede that it might be true.
Aside from the cacophonic ringtones, the phone is great. With the above in mind, maybe I'll give it a few more days and see if I adjust.
With this new provider, I finally get a mobile signal inside my own house. Woo!
