Recipe: Mexican chocolate ice cream
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 01:07 pmBeat two eggs into a frenzyfroth
Add 1/4 cup sugar, slowly, while still beating
Add 2 cups cream and 1 cup milk
Add about 1/2 cup Aztec Cocoa Mix (found at Whole Foods) (or any dutch-style cocoa mix. if you use unsweetened cocoa powder instead of cocoa mix, you'll need to add more sugar!)
Churn in an ice cream maker for 20 minutes or until it starts to set up. Add crunchy bits if desired, and keep churning for another five.
Transfer to the freezer for a few hours to let it harden (unless you're impatient, or like soft-serve).
NOM!
