risk management
Thursday, October 18th, 2001 01:10 pmThere's a fine line between paranoia and awareness... but there's also
a fine line between awareness and complacency.
All week there have been people at Times Square handing out free
samples of packaged food to morning commuters.
Given the (completely justified) caution regarding unattended packages
and receiving mail from strangers right now, it seems like a bad time
to be handing out food and expecting people to trust it. I don't know
who's worse - the companies that are choosing now to do this, or the
people who are blindly taking these things. How do we really know
where this stuff comes from, or what's in it? Can we afford to be so
trusting in the wake of all this?
